Who knew a couch could be so pretty
I was inspired by the sketch over at Let's Capture These Sketches to do this lo. One of the prompts is to use 3 items starting with the letter B. I just blue birds, blue paper and Aidan has on a blue shirt oh and blue flowers
Who knew that a handsome boy could make a couch look so pretty?!? This is Aidan on my friend Hope's couch. He fell asleep after killing zombies for a couple hours. I think he is the perfect accessory to her couch!!!
I used the Chloe's Closet line from Making Memories. I love how the page turned out!

My Life
Prompted by the new song at Scrap It With a Song I created this lo featuring my new boys. These pics are from my phone and are over a year old. Not a day or minute goes by without me thinking of Gavin and missing him. Any picture of him is so precious now. I love being able to see that sweet face, even if it is frozen in time.
The journaling says: There is no measure for my love of you both.

SEI Love
When I began scrapbooking, about 7 years ago, SEI was the first company I fell in love with. They are also the first kit club I ever joined I loved everything about them. The papers were perfect weight, lots of embellies, price was awesome not to mention the excellent designs. They have had a design team call the past two weeks and I got my entry in just under the wire. It would be so awesome to have free product and know about new designs before anyone else!! I won't hold my breathe though, but a girl can dream. :)
Here are some lo's I did with SEI papers. I am inspired by them again and know just what pic and papers I am going to use on my next lo!
Do you have mad SEI love? Tell me some of your fav lines and link me up to your SEI lo's!

Drowning in paper
I had such big plans for my Labor Day weekend. I was gonna scrap everyday and spend most of Monday scrapping. Well, at first things went according to plan, then Monday at about 10 am I went outside to check on our boxer, H. As I was backing away from him I fell in a hole he had dug. I twisted my ankle, took about 6 layers of skin off my palm and suffered some other scrapes and bruises. Needless to say I didn't get any scraping done after that. Yesterday I was finally able to hold my scissors without my hand hurting super bad.
Here are the lo's I completed. I have been trying to scrap our zoo trip in April.
To get a jump start on these I used sketches.
For this lo I used a sketh at sketchabilities, find it here: http://sketchabilities.blogspot.com/2010/08/august-30-design-team-reveal-23.html
I used the current sketch at Ally Scraps for this one. Find it here: http://allyscrapsblog.blogspot.com/2010/09/september-sketch-contest.html
For this one I used the current sketch at Scrapbook Sussies. Check it out here: http://scrapbooksussies.blogspot.com/2010/08/august-sketch-challenge.html
I have paper everywhere right now. I am almost over doing Zoo themed pages. I might have one more left in me. Stay tuned!!

I was looking around for some inspo last night and today and came up with several things.
I found two sketches over at sketchythursdays.blogspot.com that I really liked. Here is my take on sketch 7.8

All the CHA sneak peeks have been coming in. I love seeing all the new stuff but am not excited by as many lines as I have been in the past.

Peacock Love
I love using sketches!!! They help me get started when I have nothing in mind for my lo. Bo Bunny put up a sketch contest on Friday. This worked out for me since Bo Bunny is also the Manu of the month over at Scrapgal.com. I love when one lo works for two entries!!! I used the new Peacock Lane collection. I love the purple and turqoise!! My sister took my neice down to the river last weekend, thankfully she had on a purple swimsuit so the pics worked well with the Peacock Lane.

Change
Just days after my last post my family suffered a terrible tragedy. My beautiful son Gavin has gone to be with Jesus. The loss of a child is the most difficult and near unbearable thing. I am thankful that I am a scrapbooker and have all of these wonderful memories and pictures of Gavin. It took a month for me to be able to scrapbook again. I was inspired by a picture and paper from the MME Love Me Do line and a sketch from MME. Below is my lo and I could not be more pleased with the result.
The journaling reads:
You had been home sick for almost a week when I took this picture. We had read books and had lots of snuggle time. I grabbed the camera to capture this moment because you had come to me and said "You're my best friend!" It was the sweetest thing. I had no idea it would be the last photo of you. There is no doubt in my mind that you know I love you with all my heart. I know that my love floats up to you in heaven and I feel your love floating down to me. Mommy loves you, always.
I hope you find some inspiration from my lo.
Thanks for looking!

Scrap Whispers & ScrapFit
This week I created a lo that worked for a couple of challenges.
The challenge over at http://scrapwhispers.blogspot.com was about Change. The challenge was to change something about your lo. On the below lo I changed the photo corners by covering them. Over at http://scrapfit.blogspot.com the challenge was to use your stash. The papers and embellies I used are from Heidi Grace and I have had them for a while.
I love how this lo turned out!!!
Scrapfit also has a miniwork out where you make a car from your scraps. Here is my card
