Change

Just days after my last post my family suffered a terrible tragedy. My beautiful son Gavin has gone to be with Jesus. The loss of a child is the most difficult and near unbearable thing. I am thankful that I am a scrapbooker and have all of these wonderful memories and pictures of Gavin. It took a month for me to be able to scrapbook again. I was inspired by a picture and paper from the MME Love Me Do line and a sketch from MME. Below is my lo and I could not be more pleased with the result.

The journaling reads:
You had been home sick for almost a week when I took this picture. We had read books and had lots of snuggle time. I grabbed the camera to capture this moment because you had come to me and said "You're my best friend!" It was the sweetest thing. I had no idea it would be the last photo of you. There is no doubt in my mind that you know I love you with all my heart. I know that my love floats up to you in heaven and I feel your love floating down to me. Mommy loves you, always.

I hope you find some inspiration from my lo.

Thanks for looking!

I found your blog from the MME blog. I am sitting here heartbroken for you. I cannot imagine the pain you are experiencing right now and just want you to know that out there in this big, sometimes mean world, someone in New Jersey is thinking of you today and praying that you find the strength to carry on. You are in my prayers.

Wow. I'm definitely inspired. By your strength. By your capability to survive after losing a child. By sharing your faith and by healing via scrapbooking. You are amazing.
May God bless your family in this extraordinarily difficult time!

I am sitting here crying for you and the pain you are experiencing. What a precious little on you have. I know you will be with him again.

I am glad our challenge helped you create this wonderful tribute to him.

You are in my thoughts.

BIG hugs, Amber
